Hey there!

I wanted to share with you all the exciting journey I started on November 1st - a holiday home reset! I decided to go through every nook and cranny of my house, from the kitchen to the living room, garage, and everywhere in between. My goal was to downsize and prioritize, making sure our home is functioning at its best.

If you haven't already, make sure to follow me on Instagram or Facebook, where I've been sharing live reels of the decluttering process. But for now, let's dive into how I managed to capture the essence of my home and make it more functional for my family.

If you were to ask me 16 years ago, right after Caleb and I got married, what I envisioned our home to look like, I could've given you a detailed description. However, I had no idea how to actually achieve that vision. I was disorganized and overwhelmed, and things only got worse when we had our three little ones. As a new mom, I felt the overwhelming need to buy toys, clothes, and all sorts of things that I thought our home should have. Needless to say, I went a little crazy.

But over the past several years, I've been on a journey to train myself to be content with what we have. It hasn't been easy letting go of things that we've invested our hard-earned money into. I've listened to podcasts, read books, and tried my best not to place too much value on material possessions. Instead, I focused on creating a homey atmosphere and finding joy in the way I present and function within our home.

Decluttering was a necessary step in creating an organized system. However, I want to emphasize that our house is still very much lived in and loved. It's not always 100% clean all the time - we still have

kids' shoes lying around even though we have a designated drop zone. Dirty dishes need to be put away by yours truly because we don't have a maid (wouldn't that be nice?). And yes, I still have to make my bed every day.

But here's the thing - I now enjoy the process more than ever before. Over the years, I've learned to love and appreciate each chore in an excited and new way. And my hope is that one day, you guys can experience the same joy in your own homes.

So, join me on this journey of creating a functional and inviting space for ourselves. Let's declutter, prioritize, and make our homes a place where we can truly thrive.

Until next time,
